Secure File Transfer using CyberDuck (Macintosh)

You must have logged on to a classroom instructor computer at least once before you use FTP to send files to your T: drive.

CyberDuck is a Secure File Transfer Client for Macintosh that will securely encrypt and transfer files to and from your home or office Mac to your T:drive. A free version 4.7.2 can be downloaded from https://cyberduck.io.

Please note that you *must* move documents to the Desktop or Documents folder or you will not be able to see them on any TEC Windows PC.

After you have downloaded and installed Cyberduck into your Applications folder you can use it with your T: drive with the following steps:

  1. Open Cyberduck
  2. Click "Open Connection"
  3. Select SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol) for the connection method
  4. Enter ftp.tecs.fsu.edu for the Server name
  5. Enter your TEC username and password (see Example)
  6. Accept the security key if prompted.
You should now be able to see both local and remote folders which will allow you to drag files to and from your Mac and our TEC SFTP server under your user directory.
