Using the Diffenbaugh 0128 Building Surround Sound

Diffenbaugh 128
Audio System Information

This room has been equipped with a state-of-the-art fully automated surround sound system. It will automatically detect and play any type of surround sound encoding - Dolby Pro-Logic, Dolby 5.1, DTS etc. When playing a DVD, select Menu on the touch panel display and select the type of sound you wish to use (the feature must be provided on the DVD). The Menu feature only pertains to DVDs. VCR tapes only support Dolby Pro-Logic and the sound type will automatically be selected.

Please note that this is a 2200 watt system and can play extremely loud and possibly disturb other classes or offices in the building.

In order to get surround sound the material being played must be surround sound encoded. If the program is stereo, the system will automatically switch to stereo. In rare cases where the program is mono, sound will only come from the rooms center speaker.

The tabletop microphone has been installed. The volume controls for the microphones are now functional. The wireless microphone is no longer at a fixed volume. Instructors must make sure the microphone in not muted or turned down on the touch panel. The two microphone volume sliders on the touch panel now adjust the volume of the wireless and table microphones. These volume sliders toggle as to which one is hot, which means when one is turned on, the other is muted.
