Using the Samsung SDP-900DXR Document Camera



  1. POWER
    • Use this button to turn the unit on or off. When you turn on the document camera it will perform an automatic white balance and color adjustment. Make sure nothing is on the display surface to ensure a proper white and color setting.

  2. FREEZE
    • Press this button to store the current image in memory. The object can be removed from the display surface without changing the displayed image. Press the button again to resume normal operation.

  3. AWC
    • Press to adjust the color setting. Make sure nothing is on the display surface during the adjustment.

  4. ZOOM
    • Enlarge (In) or reduce (Out) the image size on the screen. See ROTATE and AF below for further enhancements.

  5. APERTURE
    • This button controls the sharpness of the displayed object. Press once for best display of an object mostly with words. Press again for best display of an object mostly with pictures or colors.

  6. ROTATE
    • Place your document in landscape mode (across widest part of the display surface). Left-hand users place the top of the document towards the left. Right-hand users place the top of the document towards the right. Press the ROTATE button until the image is oriented correctly on the screen display.

  7. AF
    • Use this to automatically adjust the focus of an object.

  8. MODE
    • Press this button until the XGA light is on. For the best display, do not set the mode to SVGA.

  9. INT/EXT
    • This button is used to switch between the external connections on the back of the document camera and the internal functions. Press this button only if you do not see an image displayed on the screen.

  10. LAMP
    • Use this to toggle between upper lamps, lower lamp, and lamps off. There is a slight delay turning on the top lamps after lamps are off.

  11. IRIS
    • Use this to control the overall brightness of the image from lighter (+) to darker (-).
